Dear Parents,
This week is another short week. I hope you all enjoyed our four day weekend!
I know that the end of the year is quickly approaching, the weather is beginning to warm up to summer temperatures, and we have several long weekends, and it is becoming hard to concentrate and stay focused on school. However, we do still have lots of school left. Please check your child’s math homework for accuracy. I am seeing more and more homework coming back with more than acceptable errors. Also please glance over all homework and remind your child to turn in neat work. Rushed and messy homework will no longer be accepted. Your child will be asked to re-do any unacceptable work.
If your child is struggling with the timed math tests, please practice them for homework. Flashcards are a very effective way of increasing speed. It is extremely important for students to know their basic facts.
Second Grade. Mrs. Vinski is our second grade teacher. The past few years, Mrs. Vinski was our substitue teacher and the teacher aide in grade eight. She attended Catholic schools for elementary grades. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. She is currently working on getting her teaching credential. She has experience working with children in Pre-Kindergarten at St. Lucy's Child Development Center and 2nd through 4th graders at Jubilee Christian School. Mrs. Vinski is both excited and honored to prepare the second grade students for the sacraments of First Reconcilliation and First Holy Communion.
