

It was great seeing so many people at open house. I hope everyone enjoyed “playing” with the student response system that goes along with our interactive boards. There were a myriad of applications being run on the Dell system throughout the school at open house.
This week January 31st to February 4th is Catholic Schools’ Week. Please write your child a letter (no gifts or goodies please) for Student Appreciation Day on Thursday, February 3. The letters can go to the office or can come to me before February 3 and I will pass them out on that Thursday.
-- In literature, the 6th grade students should have finished The Secret Garden. We will take a test on the story this week on Friday, February 4.
-- In grammar, we are completing the lesson on indirect objects and beginning the lesson on linking verbs.
-- The 7th grade is finishing section 4, Equations. The test on section 4 will be on Tuesday, February 1.
--The 8th grade is completing section 5, Factoring. The students will be practicing all types of factoring this week. Please continue to search the internet for lessons on factoring polynomials.
