Mrs. Pat Johansen, our core literature teacher, is the lucky winner of the flat screen TV.  The winning ticket was drawn during Monday’s Flag Salute meeting.

Our Annual Golf Tournament is on Monday, May 9^th.   Please save the date!  Volunteers are needed to help along the course and for set up.  Please call the school if you are available to help.

FUNDS FOR JAPAN

We are doing several fundraising projects to raise money for the people in Japan.  Everyone, the teachers, students, and aides have contributed to raising money.  The last event is:

            First Grade and Seventh Grade Jelly Bean Contest, 2 guesses for $1.00. Winner will be announced Thursday, April 21^st and will win the jar of jellybeans.

            All students may wear non-uniform dress this Thursday, April 21 as a “thank you” for supporting all the fundraisers for the Japanese victims.

Tdap IMMUNIZATION PROOF IS DUE NOW FOR GRADES 6, 7, and 8

A few students still need to bring in proof of the Tdap Booster immunization as required by law.   If your child had NOT received this immunization, then please make an appointment with your health care provider to get this taken care of right away.  Students ARE NOT permitted to start school next fall without proof of this immunization.

GRADUATION FEE

The graduation fee of $200 for eighth grade students is due by the end of April.

better and overcomes all his medical obstacles.

Please pray for Mr. Tom Lane.  He has successfully completed some heart procedures in order to get him ready for his cancer surgery.  Please pray for his complete recovery!

DID YOU KNOW     Support Archdiocese’s ‘Keep Kids Safe’ Campaign

April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month and “Keep Kids Safe” month in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. It is most appropriate that these events take place during the Easter Season, since there is no better time to celebrate the protection of our most valuable gift from God — our children.  During this week, children in Catholic schools and Religious Education programs in the Archdiocese will wear bright blue ribbon-shaped stickers that say, “Keep Kids Safe.” The stickers are part of a campaign to highlight the Archdiocese’s extensive abuse prevention and education programs for children and adults.                        Chili’s will be increased from 9% to 11 % through May 1.                        

                       The Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Athleta card

                        is now at 14% instead of 9% until July.              

                        JC Penney’s  will be increased from 5% to 6 % through May 16.               

                        Red Robin will be increased from 9% to 11 % through Monday, June 13.                              

                       Hallmark will be increased from 4% to 5 % through May 1.                        

                       Visa Promotional Cards and American Girl are not available at this time.
