Volunteer Hours (2011-2012 School Year)

A minimum of 40 hours of service to St. Dorothy School is expected of each family. At least 30 hours of service must be directly related to the school. The Single parent families are expected to volunteer at least 20 hours of service. At least 10 hours must be directly related to the school.  

It is necessary to request help from each school family in order to provide necessary funds and services to St. Dorothy School and students.

Volunteer Hours help to evenly distribute the work load, promote family participation, school growth, and to create community.  In lieu of service hours a fee of $600.00 or $300.00 (single parent) is to be paid to the school by May 31, 2012.

Oak Tree Festival, or Booth Chairpersons receive 30 hours of volunteer credit. Otherwise only 10 hours of credit will be applied to school volunteer hours from Oak Tree Festival.  Scout, Brownie and Daisy Leaders will receive 10 hours of volunteer credit.

Any person who is part of the family of a child in this school may participate in the volunteer hours’ program.  This includes mothers, fathers, step-parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, brothers or sisters.  All participants must be 18 years of age or older.



IMPORTANT NOTE:  

It is the responsibility of each family to turn in their own volunteer slips with the signature of the activity coordinator OR TEACHER AT THE END OF EACH MONTH. 

 

THE VOLUNTEER SLIPS WILL BE PICKED UP FROM THE OFFICE THE FIRST MONDAY OF THE FOLLOWING MONTH. 

 

IF NOT TURNED IN AT THIS TIME, HOURS WILl BE forfeited. 

 

All Board Officers and Chairpersons must also turn in a signed slip.
