Welcome everyone to another school year, 2008 – 2009.  We begin this school year as a community committed to educating our children not only academically but spiritually. Our community, parents, children, administrators, teachers, satellite staff, and clergy, all will contribute to this commitment.

 

As principal of St. Dorothy School, I continuously witness the growth of children.  Most of them begin their journeys in Kindergarten; others start in different grades and culminate their St. Dorothy education by graduating from Eighth Grade.  The changes that transpire in these children during these years are amazing

and wonderful!  They grow because of an increase in knowledge and a multitude of experiences.

 

The community‘s commitment helps with the growth and development of the children.   The commitment is accomplished as a TEAM effort.  We create a safe and inviting environment where they will be comfortable to grow and perfect the talents God has given them. 

 

Thus, the children leave St. Dorothy School prepared to continue their education to young adulthood. As young adults, they are ready to become contributing members of the community.   Hopefully, they will have learned that they were capable of these accomplishments because of the power of God.

 

Our Faith is most important at St. Dorothy School.  With the aid of the community commitment, we try to make it permeate throughout the campus and hope that it thrives in our homes!  Without your commitment to our Faith, we are helpless.  Our devotion to Our Lord is what makes our school community so special and unique.
