Registration was last Sunday.If you missed the date you may bring in your packet on Monday, March 8 or Wednesday, March 10 during school office hours.Mrs. Gonzales will be available those two days to process the paperwork.If you need other arrangements, please call her for an appointment.A late fee will be assessed if your packet is processed after these two dates!
EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION PICTURES/FRIDAY, MARCH 5TH
The eighth graders will be taking their individual and group graduation pictures on Friday, March 5th.The boys need to wear a white shirt.The girls will wear their eighth grade shirts with school uniform.They may wear light make-up and dress shoes.

The school activities pictures will be taken Friday, March 5th.The students need to wear dress uniforms on that day for liturgy and pictures.

The children may wear any closed shoes or socks for a one dollar (or both for $2) donation to Holy Childhood on that day.No open toes or heels are allowed.

Thank you to all the children who showed up for the “Thriller” rehearsal on Saturday.You were awesome.Only those children who showed up on Saturday, Feb. 27th will be allowed to be in the performance of “Thriller”.The practice times are 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.The tentative schedule for future practice days in the hall are: March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 17-at ADB), April 24, and May 8

The Spring Songfest date has been changed from May 7th to June 4th.Please mark your calendars.

Economic conditions are taking a toll on a few of our families and we would love to be able to help them remain at St. Dorothy.If you are able to help, either by paying a full tuition or a smaller amount to the TAP fund, we would greatly appreciate it.Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.

We are looking for donations of bottles of soda, snacks, M&M’s, and water for the WASC Visit next week.If you are able to help, please bring your items to the office by Friday.You will receive volunteer hours for your donations.
THE CHAPEL RESTROOM
Please do not send your children into the Adoration Chapel to use the restroom after school.Those restrooms are reserved for people who are visiting the Adoration Chapel.We have had several complaints about students being noisy and disrespectful.
EDUCATION FOUNDATION APPLICATIONS FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE
The Catholic Education Foundation assists students with tuition for enrollment in a Catholic school for the 2010-2011 school year.The financial eligibility requirements are listed below.If you qualify, please stop by the office for an application.If you do not meet the requirements below, but you need some help with paying tuition; you may still fill out an application.If you do not ask, you will never receive anything.It is worth trying for some help!The deadline to return the application is March 15th.
DAY CARE TAX INFORMATION – USE “TAX-EXEMPT” FOR ID NUMBER
You do not have to show the taxpayer identification number if the care provider is a tax-exempt organization such as a church or school.In this case, enter “TAX Exempt” in the space where the tax form calls for the number. St.DorothySchool is a tax- exempt organization.If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

WASC/WCEA VISITATION
The WASC/WCEA Team will be visiting us on Tuesday, March 9th, Wednesday, March 10th, and Thursday, March 11th.They will be meeting with parents Tuesday evening, March 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.If you would like to meet with the team, please write your name on the tear out slip at the end of the parent letter and return it in the Family Envelope.I will call you about this meeting at the end of the week.
